Trying to convert Strava files to gpx files, I have been given this link https://mapstogpx.com/strava/, but struggling to get it to work. Is there another way to do this without upgrading on strava?

There's an Export to GPX extension for the Chrome browser.

No not my own, got a few links to other strava routes for a weekend away riding.

If using Firefox, make sure you have the bookmark toolbar enabled (view->toolbars->bookmarks toolbar), then you just drag and drop just like this:
After that, just go to whatever ride you want on strava and click the bookmark.
