You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Some pillocks have been using my local bike park whilst it's shut - the park's posted their Strava tracks - which is very interesting.
I've had a poke around in both the Android and Windows versions and can't see how they did it. Any ideas? I'm not out to find the people, I'm just curious about how it's done.
Create a segment - or, more likely, find a segment over a bit of track you want to find people on.
Go to the segment leaderboard, search by date, find people who have publicly logged rides that match the segment.
If the segment is public, the whole ride is. Click on their time, go to their ride, screenshot.
It used to be possible to download GPX of people's rides from Strava. I don't see that option any more. Probably it's premium only?
Yes, GPX download is premium only now.
Hi guys,
There are various add-ons / extensions for Chrome / Firefox which allow you to either download a full ride or a single segment as a GPX file even if you are not premium.
BTW. A friend of mine was riding a closed bike park and they kindly commented on his Strava activity that they are closed 😉
Find the segments and look at "todays" leaderboard, this will show these people.
Equally, when you find these people, if using a broswer via laptop or PC and there ride is not private you can access it and look at their flybys and would see others that have ridden in the area, this would help if they havent rode the segments you are looking at for people.
