Are you counting 2020 as a FULL year?
525 rides a year! I guess you have a short commute or something?
Do computer game rides count?
Are you counting 2020 as a FULL year?
Ah, didn't really think that through did I.
Total mileage (as listed by Strava) divided by years.
It's a year if it's more than or equal to six months. This only applies to the year you start. 2020 is a full year.
Do computer game rides count?
If they count for you they count.
1. 120 rides per year
2. 42 km average ride length
3. 10 years
Was going to call it the Strava Willy Waving Thread. Just curiosity. If anyone cares my distance is measured in miles. Yes short commutes and my other riding distance has been getting shorter the past few years.

Edit...total of 1338 and 31148 total miles. 229 miles so far this year and a total just below 5000. First recorded ride was in July 2013. Riding much longer than that just wasn’t recording to Strava. Had an old garmin gps with bread crumb map that I wore on my wrist, probably did upload to Strava I just didn’t know how.
Ave rides/year. 130
Ave distance/ride. 22km
Years on Strava. 8.5
3 of those years will have incuded a few 5km commutes to bring the average distance down a bit (my usual MTB rides are around 30km).
So far for 2020...
Ave rides per year: 191
Ave km/ride: 42 km
Years on Strava: 1
I've stopped logging short rides to shops etc and no longer commute so the ave ride length is going up....
135 rides / year
36.04 km / ride
9 years
(I haven't put everything on strava but that is most of it)
690 rides / year
31.8 km / ride

Bigger year so far thanks to lock down (>800 rides and 26,000 km in '20)

Pretty much all off road.
94 rides a year.
33km average ride.

Would be more if it wasn't for those pesky kids 😉
690 rides / year
Phew, I was starting to feel like a freak!
@escrs shouldn't that be 378 rides per year average?
@escrs shouldn’t that be 378 rides per year average?
Yes, it seems my calculator or calculations are on the fritz!
My maths might be off, but I think it's...
533 rides per year
~10 miles per ride
4 years on Strava including 2020
First Strava ride was Sept 2016 but I've had bikes for 40+ years (started riding to try and get fitter and lose weight Jan 2017), not had a car since late 2011, so besides for a while after my RTA I usually cycle commute three days a week (~4.5 miles+ each way) and I'll usually ride to the shops. Zwift lots in winters and a bit in the last two summers. ~1415ish hours saddle time.
This will sound dull but other than scrolling back all the way to the first recorded ride, is there a quicker way of finding how long I’ve been a Stravasshole?
Do people strava their daily commute or the ride to the shops?
Only bother with strava if going for a big day out or in ragging it on my Todd in the bike park.
Can't see the point tracking a mundane ride or a ride where I know it's going to be stop /start all the time waiting for slower riders.
Daily commute - yes. It’s a 60km round trip and for every KM I do and can prove, my employer will make a contribution to environmental charities.
261 rides per year,
67km average distance

1. 252 rides per year

It's in your account settings. Headed up "Member since".
Do people strava their daily commute or the ride to the shops?
Yes a 20 mile daily commute is 100 mile a week for me so well worth logging on Strava for keeping track of wear/mileage on components etc...

I think the question referred to 'short' rides. How else are folk doing +500 rides pa?
And where are these stats?
1) 295 av rides per year
2) 7.16 av distance
3) 8 years
Probably 90% commuting
1) 181 av rides per year
2) 33km av distance per ride
3) 7 yes on Strava
4) 157,605m av elevation gain per year or 870m per ride
Who doesn't want really useful stats about their bicycle rides!?
(not from Strava)
1733 commutes
10392 miles commuting <-- that will be why I record my commutes
6 miles average commute length (minimum is 4)
Commuting heart rates and durations
HR <110 208 hrs
HR 110-135 365 hrs
HR 135-153 192 hrs
HR 153-171 75 hrs
HR 171+ 2 hrs
These ranges were what I calculated as my heartrate zones about 4 years ago so probably off now.
All-Time
Distance 24,438.5 km
Rides 1496
Using since mid 2015 so lets' call that 5 years total
Meaning on a very rough basis 5000km over 300 rides per year
@colournoise ah I couldn’t find it on the app, had to wait until uploading on the laptop via website. Ta.
Avg 254 rides per year
Avg ride length 22.2miles
6 years on the little orange platform.
Avg 208 rides per year
Avg ride length 20.4km
5 years
... but i was using runkeeper for probably 2 of those years and imported data which is a bit clunky.
And where are these stats?
Still can't find them - where are they?
Joined in 2012 and was all cycling until 2016 when running joined the party. This means my rides are an 8 year average and my runs a 4 year average.
Av runs/year - 253
Av running mileage/year - 1,186.25
Av run length - 4.7 miles
Av rides/year - 116
Av riding mileage/year - 1,988.13
Av ride length - 17.14
Not bad that, not bad at all.
Average of 61 rides a year, average ride of 12.7 miles, 9 years. All skewed by massive early enthusiasm in '12, '13 and '14, I haven't done a thousand miles in a year since (only got over 500 twice!). 🙂
Average of:
328 rides per year
22.9km per ride
7526km average distance per year
Since 2012
Lots of commutes in there - but over the last few years I have been extending the commutes and use them as training rides as well.
S
Rushing Strava since 2011.
1978 rides 219 rides per year.
Distance 37973 miles so 4,219 miles per year & 19.9 miles per ride.
Total dis at ace on 2011 was 19 miles so I shall discount that year as I clearly didn’t have strava until anger Christmas and we aren’t that far through 2020 yet.
247 rides a year.
4746 miles per year.
Interesting stats. Most of my riding is off road.

FFS can someone point out to me where to find these stats - I can see my overall by year, but where's these 'averages'?
Yes, Premium too.
where’s these ‘averages’?
In your calculator
Ah..., doh.
Average rides per year = 100
Average distance per ride = 18 miles
Full year usage = 10
Can I add
Average Elev Gain per ride = 2,500 feet
