If you have a 'P' on Strava to support the service this may interest you.

Is this the 'big' news they were talking about?

My free trial is up on 16th Aug and I wasn't going to renew it at £5.99 per month.

Based on the new pricing I may consider it now as I would only need / want one of the packs.

I'm really only premium to support them and because the suffer score used to be fun so I'll probably drop to the cheapest package now.

And bet they still won't have fixed the 100s of bugs / requests that we've raised over the years. Still even no acknowledgement of MTB as an activity. Not that it matters any more to me as I've disabled segment leaderboards and challenges. It's just a site for logging rides for me now (don't really use the app). I might bin it totally and just use the Garmin site as I track on a Garmin anyway. Just more clunky and buggy, though at least they understand British Miles + Centigrade.

While I can see the reasoning behind it, and it will probably mop up a few more subscribers.

Training and analysis seem to just be halves of what most people probably use it for, where 'training' is maybe for KOM chasing and analysis maybe more for actual training.

Then the navigation stuff seems to be in safety (will that include the ability to download or follow other's routes?). In which case you'd need safety to find the route and then the training pack to actually follow it?

Seems designed to split the features any individual user would actually want across at least two options (and the pricing makes it £5.98 for two or £6.99 for three).

Having said all that, it's only £6.99 and still way less hassle than trying to do all those functions individually for free with golden cheetah, ridewithgps, gpsies, garmin connect etc.

I'm sure a few more will pick up safety as it's only £2.99 and not bother with the rest. if your using it for training then the full price kicks in as you say. Still find it a great resource for me, not bothered about a MTB category so long as the ebaikes stay in theirs 😉 ride a mix of road, gravel and MTB so challenges still count.

All my analysis is done in Today's Plan.   Seems a shame not to brag about my extraordinary strata achievements though...

Probably will drop to the Training package,

I checked my account as I renew on 8th August.

I am a Summit member by default but can drop to Free.   There's no option to choose packs.  Confused.

Bit annoying.  They've managed to thinly spread the limited use I get out of premium over all 3 packages.

I like a bit of HR visualisation on occasional long rides or very occasional races, more for idle interest than anything.  I like the personalised heat map, just for the lols and to see it grow from year to year.  And record of PRs and times set on segments is interesting too, especially when comparing rides on different bikes.  I might try a month at a time losing one or all and see what I miss.

anyone know where the gpx download feature comes in?  Safety, I guess.  I'd want that.

As it said existing packages are honoured does it not mean you need to let your sub expire or cancel to get the new options?

Maybe, but on the 8th will I get charged £46 before I get the chance to change it?

Just delete your card if you want to drop it

They should just stick to segments and sort out their segment mess, getting rid of silly short segments and getting rid of false categorised climb segments, there are far better apps out their that cover pretty much everything else... Sometimes even for free!

I think I'll save myself 2.49 a month and continue using Google maps share location instead of beacon.

Or have a look at VeloViewer.

£10 per year and gives you all the data you could ever need....

So for everything it's gone up £3 a year, pretty much an expected annual rise. I'll just stay premium at that.
