Any of you keep an eye on your fitness/freshness on Strava?

Has yours changed overnight? They seem to have changed the calculations, weighting cycling much more heavily now compared to running, and have applied the calcs retrospectively. My peak fitness at the end of a week on the road in the Pyrenees last summer has gone up by about 1.5 times.

Just a bit puzzled and interested to see if other are affected. Or are my new-found fitness gains from yesterday due to be "revised" back down?!?

They can now track use of performance enhancing drugs.

Naughty boy.

They're just a rebranding of CTL (cumulative training load) and TSB (training stress balance), which have used the same calculations for years. So unless strava have gone off and made their own I wouldn't have thought they'd change.

It's more likely that your threshold has changed in the athlete settings somehow, have a look there first.

You're right they've changed it, my fitness has changed.

Was averaging 90 odd for last few months now it's all in the 70s.

I've changed nothing in athlete settings, checked that.

They've changed 'Suffer Score' to 'Relative Effort' so I think it means that any HR based activities will have their weightings changed.

Yeah mines changed by +10.   I never used it as it didnt measure turbo training (for me anyway) appearing to rely on actual GPS distance ridden to one of any use.

I'll be interesting to see if thats changed...

I prefer the Crickles fitness trend https://cricklesorg.wordpress.com/ , because it will use XSS if there is no power data and something happens to my HRM recording.

I noticed this morning that the Strava app now tells you how hard a ride/week was compared to normal.

Haven't noticed any change to mine.  I don't monitor it as closely as Training Peaks though.  The trends etc still seem the same.
