You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
British Cycling has invested many hundreds of thousands of pounds into MTB XC over the years, far more than that discipline has brought into the organisation, so I don't think there is a reason for anyone who is involved in it to moan!Brian.

So we can still moan about DH and Enduro then?
My moan was around their lack of interest outside of olympic events...
My moan is that they've shown no interest at all in enduro racing, and now when they finally decide to get involved years later, their first move is to unilaterally impose damn fool rules that will put people off entering.
I've been riding long enough to remember when the bcf oficial line was, we're not interested in mountain biking, we view it as a passing fad like skateboarding.....
Late eighties iirc.
My moan is that as a fully paid up BC member and racer I gave them enough money that I had to reduce how much I spent on food as a student (Silver race license was about £80 all told with membership) and got half of sod all back.
Your licence got you points.
Points, really, in the grand scheme of things, got you sod all.
The money was gone. Completely gone. I was paying the entry fee for the races I went to, BC weren't contributing money to the race series I did (SXC), to the trails I raced on. Anything. So I was paying for the races, not BC.
A total and utter waste of money as a mountain biker. Nowadays I just race 24 hour/12 hour stuff and I think even if I did go back into short racing I'd not buy a licence from them, only something like a TLI one which is a lot cheaper.
Let's face it, most XC racers that aren't in the top 0.01% just pay the BC so they can enter races and get nothing back. Nothing.
