19.5 Ochre. Andy's best colour yet I reckon.

Never tried 27+ before, but they look right on this bike. If they don't work for me, the 29ers are going back on.

Ran out of black ties so got will sort out the cables tomorrow.

Nice one Bonz - looking great! I really like 27.5+ on your old one 😉

Now that looks a giggle to ride.

He won’t ride it Matt - if previous form is anything to go by it’ll get carried to a scenic spot for some pictures then carefully carried back, polished and put away again!

I jest - but when I bought his Mk4 it was spotless.

That’ll be an absolute hoot. Needs Junker Bars though.

Looks cool 👍

I really wanted one but couldn't decide between frame sizes, and also couldn't get my head arround the 19.5" sizing, I really liked the standover on my old On-One Fatty and kinda fancy a conventional hardtail allong those lines.

That thing is crying out for a "plus mullet"

I'm a Big fan of niche bikes that quietly do everything really well and it wouldn't get much more do-everything-niche than a rigid, steel, plus, mullet stooge!

In fact I can feel myself borrowing a 27.5+ rear wheel and having a go on my dirtbomb

Gorgeous build by the way and like you say, the mustard just looks right on a stooge in a way that just wouldn't work on most bikes.

I just couldn't resist the teal to match my gold rabbit holes though ....

Lovely! 😍

Reminds me to put my mark 2 back into singlespeed 27.5+ winter mode after its tour around Mull.

Great bikes and so adaptable.

On the website it's showing all the 18" MK5's out of stock already!

Own up then, who bought 'em?!

Not sure if they're gone already or if he hasn't made them available yet. I also missed the pre-order despite checking obsessively, but it might be a good thing since I don't have space for one.

Think they all sold out on pre-order months ago. Andy was keeping some back (a few) for stock, but they may have gone too?

There's a couple of 19.5" left if you're quick, I've just ordered one myself

First ride out today and I have to say the subtle geo changes over the mk4 work much better for me. I found the 58mm v 80mm fork offset makes it much more manageable for the kinda stuff I get up to. I could be cracking up, but there must be more seat tube on this mk5 as my dropper post marks are buried deeper down in the tube and so along with the 'less is more' fork gives the bike a less rangy/gangly look, and this is noticeable in the ride feel. I just think Andy has got this one really dialled in.

I'm on the fence with the 27+ wheels, but I'll give them time. I like the comfort a plus tyre offers to my aging bones but I feel a bit like I've lost my spidey sense without 29 inch wheels.

If you're interested, I'm a sniff under 6'1" with a 19.5. 25mm of spacers under a 50mm stem with Stooge moto bars with 10mm lobbed off each end. Absolutely perfect fit. I knew instantly that I'd dropped a spherical when I sold the mk4, but it seems like the planets have aligned once again.

Verdict. If you were lucky enough to get one, don't let go of it. This is a UK first mono pressing of Sgt Peppers, and just as rare.

The remaining MK5s sold out as soon as they hit the website. Andy’s got a problem, he can’t keep anything in stock long enough. Nice problem to have.

Glad you like it @bonzodog. I was mildly tempted by the MK5, but my MK3 is everything I want as a MTB. I want a 29er drop bar bike, maybe the Rambler is that bike that will scratch that itch.

Looks lovely and I hope you thoroughly enjoy it. I have a Dirtbomb and it’s an amazingly capable bike and looks ace. Can’t believe what I can actually ride on it at similar speeds to a slack hardtail.

@Andy-R hello me old mate

Well, I recently recommissioned the old SS and had a few great rides on it, and loved it. I just couldn't walk for 2 days after!

I probably was pretty damn good at it when I was young, fit & stupid. Now I'm only one of those things 😉

Looks really good OP. My brother had a mk3 which was a very adaptable and fun bike, newer version looks to have improved that IMHO.
