Just looking for a bit of a comparison from anyone that’s tried both. I have the Junker but I’m bar-curious as to what the Moto might be like.

The Moto is a great bar. I have them on my ebike and fatbike. Not as high or heavy as the junker. I would think the junker is too high for most bikes other than Stooge. -should never have sold it!

The Junker has more sweep, which I prefer, the Moto now feels like an “ordinary” bar, but it’s really not.

That’s not very helpful is it?

Having used and own both, I use the Junkers on my rigid Stooge, I use the Motos when I fit the boing forks. Both end up with the bars at roughly the height, both feel natural when it comes to wrist and hand positions.

Don’t think I’d want to go lower than the Junker. Really comfortable riding position. Might get a Moto when funds allow, give it a go

I run a Moto bar on my Mk4 Stooge. I run a 35mm DMR stem and have a 20mm stack of spacers under it to get the height somewhere close. I'd like to try some Junkers but I'm a little put off by the weight (really probably shouldn't be!). There's also the Scrambler bars which are like Moto's but with a higher rise.

One of these days I may just take the plunge, I think my Mk4 (and my back) will thank me for it!

I'd love to try the motor if anyone knows where you could get a pair this year?

and there lies the question! Is that what the website is saying now? Maybe check out the Stooge owners club on Facebook (if you have it) as bits and pieces come up every so often.

I don;t think Moto bars are coming back this year. I have Scramblers and I really like them - great for rigid, once you get over the shock of the weight of steel bars and realise it doesn't really matter.

That’s the weird thing, my Dirtbomb is heavy but doesn’t feel it when you’re riding it. I honestly think folk stress about weight too much. The wheels and the tyres are light(ish) and it’s so comfy and fun, lots of fun

Yeah it's not like a Stooge is a light bike, my Mk4 weighs a fair bit and the weight difference is probably the equivalent of a pre-ride poo. The benefits of the higher rise/bigger sweep with most likely negate any weight penalty

https://www.taobao.com/list/item-amp/644738297495.htm?spm=a21wu.10013463.3.1

£6.50

31.8mm 6061 780mm wide 90mm rise to where the upreach starts. Fits in a standard MTB stem.

I did have a BMX Stem and 820mm motocross bars fitted until I found these cheap bars. The difference in weight is noticeable!!

Let's hope they don't snap.

What’s the sweep on those? I’d be worried at £6.50.

Actually, there isn't much sweep. I just put my old MTB bars over the top to look.

Those had 9deg sweep and 5deg upsweep and were way too much for me. I was using an 80mm 7deg uprise stem and that bar had too much vibration for me to enjoy riding.

I'm guessing these are 5deg sweep and 3deg upsweep? I'm only using the original 35mm stem now so the bars are closer so I don't need as much sweep. Also, my dropper post lever is inboard of my brake lever and I had to route the cable over the bar due to the extreme rise!
