STOLEN from the back of my van whilst at a course at Eastwood Hall Hotel. Was locked up inside the van too!!! A custom built Specialized Expert Evo XL bike. Limited editions colours not common in the UK.....
After the thieved I [url=
on numerous local Facebook Groups and contacted all bike shops within Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire. Thieves caught on CCTV at Eastwood Hall, bike posted on Gumtree from Aspley, Notts on the 3rd December, but removed within an hour. (perhaps others had seen the local FB posts).
The police in spite of CCTV footage, a lead on the Gumtree seller with mobile phone number, an address plus 3+ years of a selling history on Guntree, have choosen to do nothing.....

That sucks dude can’t believe the police do nothing even with these leads, well maybe I can but still
Hope you get it back and the bastards that nicked it get castrated or worse!
Do you have the address or just the police?
Sorry to hear you're the victim not only of scumbags but police complacency. Make sure you keep checking on gumtree etc. When my son had a bike nicked local to your incident, it turned up on gumtree 3 or 4 weeks later, he posed as a potential buyer and informed the police, set up a meeting and the police turned up, nabbed the thief and he got his bike back. Good luck mate
You should contact Gumtree about this. I doubt they'll take kindly to stolen goods being sold on their site and although I doubt they'd pass the contact details on to you they might be persuaded to pass them on to the police. Also, if the police can give you a crime number you can quote that to Gumtree too. Keep the pressure on!
Worth a formal complaint to the police and crime commissioner?
I had the same with the police and gum tree. Had a phone number but took 5 weeks to ring them. They’d gone by then so ‘what can’t do much now’ individually officers are good people. The police in my opinion however...
I'll keep an eye out - there's plenty of scallies riding around on bikes that they may not have paid for in Eastwood and I have the misfortune to work there.
Hope that the Notts STW massive can help the OP get their bike returned safely.
Jason of 112 Tunstall Crescent, appears to be a fence for stolen stuff and according to him, has returned the bike back to the lad he got it from.
