Small World....should make it easier to find my bikes.
Still hasn't sunk in yet, my son is devastated, as it was his downhiller 🙁 Hope we can get these back. A full on twitter assault all day but nothing yet.
Keep you eyes peeled. If we get them back we should arrange a local group ride?

Were they for sale on here? Or was somebody else selling a similar Tomac?

Hope we get them back! the Tomac was on sale on here, pink bike and ebay. Nobody came to see them though. It is probably a local job as they left a third bike in the garden, which make me think that the thieving bast@rds were not in a van. We think they knew what they were coming for.....they even took some other components and tools...cheeky ****ers.

Cheers toys19.
Its the not knowing who's been in my garage that's really getting to me.
And what state the bikes might be in if found?
Hopefully twitter might help 350'000 people our tweets and retweet should have gone to.

Good luck hunting. I'm in a similar position and lost 4 bikes the other month from my garage. Spotted one on eBay and Police grabbed the seller and my bike. But the other have not yet surfaced.

The timing for me was shit. My dad had just been allowed home from hospital after suffering a stroke 6 weeks ago, so every thing was looking good (better) for Xmas. Then this happened that night. I secured everything best I could but can't get motivated to see if they've nicked anything else...the bikes were mine and my sons pride and joy, and that's all I want back for now. Hate the notion that someone had been in there and rifled through my gear. I realise we've gotta move on but it sucks!! Hopefully the words getting out and we will get the bikes back...and we're keeping a look out on eBay and bike forums..

I live north Bradford, and some bikes were nicked recently from a street next to ours. Apparently they turned up on Ebay being sold in Middlesbrough.

I drive through Keighley, Shipley, W Leeds fairly regularly, and will certainly spot those if they go past accompanied by a scrote.

Gumtree Craig's list pinkbike and the rather useful Findthatbie vwebsite are worth regular checks. For any unusual or rare components set up eBay searches automatically.

Oh and my bike's as on eBay was incorrectly spelled and a one day auction so harder to spot unless you search very regularly.

To be honest I don't know the timescale involved.

I thought I saw my stolen bike on Ebay about 6 months after it was nicked.

Sorry to say I think your chances of getting yours back are very slim.

If so and it's being riden, then chances it'll be spotted. I use the Asda in Wyke often.

Might be worth putting a wanted ad in the co op, chippies, etc...

I'll keep an eye out and spread the word, Odsal area.

Shame I'm currently not able to ride.

Also a good idea to call all the local LBSs and explain what's happened, ask them to keep an eye out for people with those bikes asking for resale value etc and if they don't look like they fit the bike.

Hi All,
A bit of a shocker from the insurance company, as they are only going to pay out less than 30% of bikes value, my fault for not specifing apparently. A bit of a tough and expensive lesson!
Which now makes it more important that I get these bikes back, so any further help would be appreciated. Cheers.

Be worth getting in touch with this Facebook group fieldy - based Baildon. If your bike's been seen in Thorpe Edge they'll be well placed I guess?

I'm not asking for anyone to get involved trying to recover the bikes other than letting me or the police know if they are seen. Don't want anyone getting hurt.

Im in brighouse & will put the feelers out,not sure they would be local to u anymore pal.
They'll off been moved on out of town by now i guess.

This is becoming an organised crime people are watching you people sard following you home from afar.
Do not go to your house if the car behind u has been following u a while pull up first & let them **** off.
Do not clean bikes on show if poss do it in a back garden etc.
Always lock them & keep them indoors a garage will not do, if her indoors doesn't like it lock her in the garage instead & bring the bike in.
West Yorkshire is getting peppered with bikes been nicked & nearly all ive heard are stolen from shed or garage or locked up outside work .

Seems like organised crime, and Yorkshire appears to be getting hit bad.
One of mine is definitely near Thorpe Edge, Bradford as Shredder has seen it.
Need to work on a plan to recover it once it is in our sights??
And still, everyone is a suspect....

Was up that way at lunchtime and saw a shady character on a giant whilst holding a boardman presumably for a mate. He didn't look like the type to be riding around on best part of a grand of xc hardtail...

fieldy - got a better picture of the Heckler? My mate lives Idle way and I want to send him a photo - he's not a bike so telling him to keep his eye out for a white Heckler doesn't really mean anything!
