Be a bit unusual to head through Rowarth on the way to Edale, just because you're heading down on the tarmac and up on the bridleways - the one starting at laneside farm is a popular descent [thnk it's called the last drop on strava].
Testing climb, though, if that is what you're after - get up that then BW due S and you're above Hayfield. You then need to choose whether you're going over Jacob's or round S Head, the Roych. If it's the latter you prob want to get up the Churn from Birch vale and over to Peep o Day.
I fancy Jacobs ladder going that way. Think I know where it is!
