You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Evening chaps,
Just a quick one. I'm off to Stile Cop Saturday morning and wondered what the parking situation is?
Do you have to park at the car park up the road or can you park at the actual trail head?
Thanks.
There's a car park more or less on the opposite side of the road to the trail heads
That's the one I mean. Is it safe? Looks a bit secluded.
Safe from what, ze germans?
Seriously though, Its a pretty well used car-park, no real issues to speak of from anybody I know that goes there regularly other than the odd pervert but as you are going on one of the busiest riding days of the week that wont be a problem - There may even be a dig day on this weekend there (not sure if its Sat or Sunday) so people will also be there for that.
The car park is as safe as any other forest car park around and is normally busy with riders visiting the Cop during the day. After dark is another thing and rather than a bike you’ll fit in better with a tube of lube and tissues so best to get packed up and away before a different type of clientele start arriving.
If you’re lucky you’ll be able to grab a spot by the barrier at the start of the fire road that leads to the start of the trails but please don’t block the barrier and ideally avoid parking on the road here. Too many people do and whilst there are no parking restrictions it’s a really bad place to park for visibility for car passing through etc.
Ha. A doggers delight you mean? Looks ideal for that.
Thanks for your help chaps.
