looking for a pair of 120mm air forks. something stiff and robust if there is anything.
any ideas greatly appreciated
I run 650b Pikes @ 120mm, I'm pretty sure the 29er can be 120mm too, pretty stiff. I know of someone with Fox 36 29er forks @ 120mm but think he may of modded them himself.
Lefty.
I’ve got a pair of 29 pikes I dropped to 120mm, same as you I wanted the stiffness over 32’s. That’s what I’d go for.
Pair of the current Revelations here, 29er 120mm travel.
35mm pike chassis, but a bit less s****y. Perfect in my Solaris max.
You can space Cane Creek Helm Air down as far as 100mm in 10mm goes. 35mm stanchions.
Loads of overlap with them set up that short should mean they're plenty stiff.
Lyrik/Yari you could run at 120...bit beefier than Pike/Rev
You can run a 36 at 120.
35/Pike/Rev/Lyric/Yari, stopped down t0 120mm I doubt even you could discern a difference.
Have you bought a new bike yet? Have you seen the On One BigDog/Scandal? 130mm travel and comes with 35's.
As above - Cane Creek Helm's are very stiff in short travel setup.
yeah at 120mm pick a fork any fork
Not quite the answer you want, but Manitou Mastodon Pro EXT forks at 120mm are the stiffest I've ridden (more so than my old fox 36s or pikes/lyrics)
Lefty... again.
I just sold a pair of 120 Yari'
Also had my Pikes at 120 and didn't notice any flex, way stiffer than the 100 Reba's I had beforehand.
