I have a pro2 rear which comes from a set of hoops, QR axle, low milage . . . the axle is hard to turn, even with the freehub removed (and yes all the originally fitted spacers are in the correct places), so I removed the bearings and replaced them (thinking perhaps there was a bearing issue, even tho it cannot be a wear and tear issue). The axle started off smooth enough (but nothing like as smooth as I would expect) and have gotten progressively stiffer such that they are now back to where they were before . . .
There's so little to these hubs I am beginning to think that there is a manufacturing issue with either the axle bearing stops or the hub bearing seats, causing the bearings to be running out of true or with incorrect forces on them . . . I have fitted the bearings with the hope tools and am reasonably handy with a spanner . . .
I've compared these with a set of bulbs (practically friction free) and a pretty much new set of pro 2's (thanks to dans160 on here - also pretty much friction free) and these are both very much as I would expect
Anybody else seen a similar issue before I call hope ?
TIA

axle bent maybe?
Yeah possible I guess, I'll pull it apart again and have a look . . . I've had these from new and they are not old, and I don't tend to bend bits . . . but you never know . . .
