I had some 'new' pike ultimates delivered yesterday. Couple of concerning bits on them, one of which is that the high speed compression knob is *really* stiff to turn, like it felt like something inside might actually break. You can just about make out the detents in the 3 positions. Are they normally so stiff? I'm used to lock out knobs having a nice smooth fairly easy action.
Also, the LSC knob rotates with the high speed knob - is this normal?
On my charger RC dial i found it was super stiff. Â Backed the hex bolt in the centre off a fraction and works fine and get the clicks back. Â Can't visualise yours but maybe helpful? Â Likely not though!
cheers, this is what mine looks like. It's the outer knob which is super stiff. the inner LSC knob turns independently if you turn it on its own, but turning the outer knob also turns the LSC knob.

I thought this might be a poopscoop update.
That looks like mine so I'm assuming you have Charger 2.1 RC3.
The outer dial isn't HSC, rather it's a quick-adjust mode change for the LSC - hence the open-pedal-firm labels on it. Adjusts the LSC by big steps with each of the 3 detents (that's what the 3 in RC3 refers to), for quick adjustment while riding.
The inner dial is a precise adjustment of the LSC in the open mode.
Mine isn't stiff at all.
