hello all,ive noticed in the past few weeks my bottom bracket has gone stiff,its not unrideable .but does this mean ill need a new one soon?

You need a new one now...I presume it's a shimano one?
If not you'll probably just need the bearings replaced (tho you can do that on a shimano one as well if you're handy with a hammer)

You might find one bearing has seized and its actually the crank spinning on the seized bearing, which will ruin the crank , so would be sensible to check it sooner than later.
