Hi

I've got a set of Hope Mono M4 brakes (the gold 4 pot ones). The pistons are a bit sticky on the rear and not retracting properly so I want to strip and clean them. Can anyone point me in the right direction of how to do this please?

Ta

I had this problem on some juicy 7's,

I took the pads out and squeezed the lever til the pistons protruded a bit then cleaned with a cotton bud and dot fluid.

As said above. Worked on my minis several times. Just don't push them out too far.

You only need enough to get some fluid around the rim and work it in when you push then back in.For the pushing in bit you can sometimes try and get some old pads in to save you marking the pistons. Then repeat. Once done push them back in one last time and clean the middle thoroughly to make sure there's nowt there.

I've tried this route already. Might need a call to the chaps at Hope then.

Thanks anyway
