As title.

My halo headband *may* have ended up in with towels on a 2hr washing machine cycle......again (I've killed 2 like this)

this one is hanging on, but has anyone successfully managed to re-stick the yellow bit back on the headband? if so, what did you use? copydex? something else?

TIA

No? no one? bueller....

Think I’ll try a fabric glue and report back how I get on.

I've been washing mine as normal and only read later that they don't advise machine washing. So I'm hoping to avoid this issue. Do they survive with lots of washes at 40⁰? Or will the strip detach if I keep doing it?

My strip has just come off too - been machine washing it without realising… So I’m interested in a useful answer too

I've got two with partially attached strios. They get rinsed after riding but I've not put them through the wash so maybe that's not what's killing them. Would be interested in anyone's attempts at reattaching the yellow bit.

I've got two but just put them in a 30 wash with all my other cycling kit - not had any probs yet........

Difficult to work out how you would reattach w glue, but suspect would need to be something a bit special to withstand sweat and flexing

yeah, that's why I'm thinking fabric glue. I’ve used copydex to reattach soles to shoes, it may work, it may not....

I take mine in the shower after riding.  Not had one fail yet.

Fabric glue might work,  which one have you got though,  there are neoprene ones and a more mesh fabric one

it's the more absorbent neoprene like one. proper sweat sucking.

I rinse mine off after each ride but the yellow strip starts to peel off after 10 or so rinses and I just use super glue to stick it back down

I don't own a Halo headband, but I'd use Evostik Impact adhesive.

It's what I used to stick Respro legbands to my Carradice saddlebag.

Evostik Impact adhesive.

got some of that, tried it. didn't stick it.

well, it kinda did, but it came away again quickly.

I'll need to try it again, make sure everything is clean and dry and see if I can get the residual OEM glue off.
