My new Synapse has a carbon fork with expander bung. It came with all the spacers beneath and I’d like to drop it 5mm, and put one 5mm spacer above.

Some camps say this is a nono on Cannondale warranty…. Something to do with the bung then not being central in height inside the stem loaded section. Can’t see how a 5mm spacer will make much of a difference… but..

Move it or wait till it goes back to shop in a few weeks to get cables and hoses shortened ?

you can probably drop the bung a bit, there is a fair bit of thread on the top cap.

But even if not it's probably ok as long as you can do it to an accurateish 5-6 nm
