I have a cove stiffee that up until last year was set up as more of a free ride bike. I changed a few parts to make it more pedalable and lighter. I tried a 110mm stem which felt awful. It felt like the bars swept round instead of turning so I borrowed and tried a 90mm which felt perfect with the new raceface deus 3/4" rise bars I bought. I then bought a giant anthem frame which I started buying bits for including some red raceface turbine bars in 3/4" but then the turbo broke on the car which has put that build on hold for a few months. I though I may as well make use of the bars on my stiffee but didn't check the rise and sweep and when fitted to the bike they don't feel right. To get the bike to not feel cramped I have them to far rolled over to the point where the feel like they are pointing upwards too much. I want a new stem anyway but before I buy I want to be as sure as I can be that I can achieve the similar feel and reach as the deus bars gave me. I'm thinking that maybe the 110mm stem would of been ok with these bars. Is it as simple as if the grips end up in the same place regardless if its achieved by stem length/ bar rise/sweep you should have the same steering feel?
The simple option is to put the old bars back on and use the turbines on the anthem but the red ones look good on the stiffee. I have ridden the bike with the bars in various positions for the last couple of weeks but I just can't get used to them.
Thanks

Bump
sorry. another bump
If you have a combination of bars/stem that feels perfect, use that and don't change it.
Job done.
EDIT: CRC says the Deus XC 3/4 and Turbine 3/4 both have exactly the same rearward and upwards sweep angles.
I would suggest trying a 100mm stem cos that's quite a change imo. It's just a matter of sucking it and seeing really, it takes quite a while so borrowing stuff off your mates is the way forward.
There's no guarantee that the turbine bars will be the way fwd tbh. For example I've got 2 bikes, one full-sus and one HT with completely different effective top tubes but the same stems and bars and they feel fine.
I think I may have cracked the problem
when looking on wiggle i found that the deus page title says 3/4" rise but the description says 1" rise which makes sense as they look identical to my other deus bars which i thought had a 1" rise

I'm going to have a look for some 1" rise red turbine bars now or put the others back on. I have rotated the bars back to where they feel normal but the bike feels too cramped.
Thanks
