Hello All

quick question is stem angle such a big thing when the length is 50mm? Or can I just use a 0degree one.  Bike is a 2011 ragley blue pig.

most newer bikes have a zero degree stem and very short  any advice much appreciated

thanks

tom

Well it just gives you a bit more height (or less if you put it on the other way round). But given how short modern stems are (as you mention), you may barely notice.

Some people are super-fussy about position, I just try to find something in a vaguely suitable size, there's not much built for the likes of me...

http://yojimg.net/bike/web_tools/stem.php (oldie but goodie online calc) says that at 67 degree head angle, -6 to +6 degree 50mm stem reduces reach by 4mm and increases stack by 9mm.
