Ok - so I was on the receiving end on a bike sent through Paisley Freight, when it turned up there was a huge dent on the down tube, a fair few scratches on the other side of it, and the shifter was broken (who knew spare parts for ultegra shifters were so extortionate 🙁 ). I won't mention the sellers name as he has been quite cooperative, but some of it the damage may have been down to the packing - but the box has obviously been chucked around a fair amount. 😯

so to conclude... DON'T USE PAISLEY FREIGHT - I have read a few good reviews - but the majority are shocking!

Used them twice to send bikes.. Both arrived safely in same condition they left me..

I do pack bikes very very well(expecting rough handling) I used to be a courier...

I've used them a few times - they just contract the job out to other couriers from what I've seen - the last delivery was collected by a city Link van iirc.

I've received stuff via them; the bike was OK but the PC that I purchased from someone off here had taken a battering. I had to strip it down and rebuild it to ensure all connections and the heat-sink were seated properly; Luckily it had solid state drives!

Which courier was it that delivered it? I've used PF half a dozen times or so and it's always been a really friendly TNT guy that shows up. Always arrived next day in VGC.

I've seen all sorts of horror stories on the web though. Sounds like if things go wrong PF themselves are not very helpful.

I've used them for high value (£50k+) work shipments and as above they sub contract it out and it's usually the luck of who you get. I've not had any issues in the past other than lateness.

Used them for a kayak recently, but being heavy and plastic there wasn't a lot of damage they could do..

I had the most horrendous experience with them when trying to send a bike a few months ago. Very rude on the phone and even resorting to emailing me constantly when I wanted a refund which I was owed after they didn't pick up the bike for two days on the bounce. Never again
