My Marino.
Got a 150 fork in there but the frames are custom built so you could have whatever you wanted.

Curtis usually get a mention when bespoke steel bikes are mentioned; their raw finished bikes look great with the gold brazing.

On the raw front, even with a clearcoat over a polished finished you can get surface rust spidering underneath.

Every Marino I have seen in this finish has rust sooner or later. I thought BTR had stopped offering the finish for the same reason.

Curtis still offer it as I looked at buying one last year but went cheaper and Marino in the end - partially cost and partially as Marino would customise more tube lengths / angles and would also do full internal routing. Curtis frames are beautiful though - particularly in the raw / clearcoat finish with the gold brazing on show.

I've had a Sirius before, albeit the 26" version 631 they did. It was painted "titanium" and was a real good job. I'm not sure who does the paint on their bikes but it's spot on.

But I sold it.

re: clearcoat. Yeah I'm aware it's not a foolproof way of preventing any rust but there's something about seeing a frame material as close to it's rawest natural state that appeals to me.

Actually, thinking about it, I would get a Pipedream again. The only issue here is I have run out of bike space and I'm trying to get a shed upgrade, but the missus is having none of it. (So I keep moving one of the cars out the garage and putting all out bikes in there...childish giggle).

I think some of the bikes shown look a bit too hardcore - I'm thinking 130mm on a 29er is XC with a bit of headroom (I'm not looking for an XC bike per se, and I know light steel is not the first choice for an XC ish build) and a bit too similar to my full susser.

My full suss:- (Ignore the layback, it's got a 170mm Brand X dropper on now)

Yeah that's more along the lines of what I was thinking. Not ridiculously slack or long, and good for all day blasts, fire roads etc.

I have a clear coat Ranger (in fact that's my bike build linked above!) and it is stunning. Note the finish is a little extra on top of the frame's price, but will probably give a little extra over an unfinished/ raw frame.

The Ranger+ can be run as 29" and has slightly different seat stays so may be a little more forgiving, though in all honesty the regular Ranger is a beautiful ride as it is...

Burf also said he's looking at producing a 29" full suss in the non too distant future, which I am sure will be amazing.

A stainless steel hardtail in raw would be ace looking! I think Bird’s Forge maybe coming in stainless in time as well as the initial 853 version but it’s too long and slack to match your requirements.

That Sonder Signal ST looks great but the seat tube seems super slack. Is it designed for actually travelling around or is it a jibber?

It reminds me of a Charge Blender. Another bike which was fun to ride but famously bad for going anywhere.

Feels fine for travelling around to me, climbs well considering the weight, great fun on the descents, only thing more fun is my 160mm e-mtb!

This one's raw to fade, but if you buy through one of their dealers Sour will do a Pasta Party (120mm ground covering hardtail) or Crumble (130-150 all rounder) in raw.
