I ride my rigid 29er as a commuter, so the mileage is a tad high, and higher than a std mtb. I spotted that Wolftooth do a CAMO system with a steel NW oval ring. Pricey but would last better than the aluminium rings I'm currently using.
Are Wolftooth the only ones who do a steel NW ring?
needs to be:
- 32t oval NW
- Cinch fitting
Superstar do a system of narrow/wide Stainless rings that fit on a variety of alloy carriers to match various direct mount patterns.
Probably doesn’t help you but Sram donsteel direct mount chainrings for cheap (sub £20 usually) and they really do last almost forever. Not worn one out yet.
