Pushed the button on an Onza Jackpot last week (finally!) Wowser! Frame quality and detailing is superb, 4130 Double Butted Chromo, 150mm travel Revelations, Reverb, OK so it dates from 2016 so it's 1 X 10, (who cares? 🙄) but it's SLX with a clutch mech and Deore brakes, not seriously LLS (thankfully!) and it's a whole heap of fun.
Got some good reviews when it was £1700 then £1400, now you can get all this for £699 yes not a typo £699!!!! Proper bargain tastic I say! Get 'em before they're all gone! 😎

Old school geometry and a bit of a weighty frame but £699 is an absolute bargain.  I think I paid £250 for the frame a few years ago.

I don't think the geometry is that old school personally compared with my 2012 Kona Raijin as for weighty?

I mean if the frame is as bad (i'm not saying it is) as others alude to re geo then the kit on it alone must be worth the cash if you have another frame to build up from it
TBH i like the look of the geo!

Get you now, originally I was going for the Sonder Transmitter. Someone warned me off the Sram SX build as that kit is pants apparently. I had a brief go on one, thought it felt good fun but wondered if it was maybe too slack. Reading a recent test it seems I wasn't far out. Not only does it get real wsndery on climbs it tends to flop about on flat trails as well.
Test said it needs a shorter travel fork and a bit steeper Ha and lower bottom bracket to stop it being a one trick pony. I always thought this drive to LLS would go too far and I think it has now? 64 degrees is a tad too much IMHO any more than 67 is?

@oldfart see my new hardtail thread. I’m running my new transmitter with 140mm fork and non plus tyres it climbs fine in my opinion. Guess with longer fork it may feel a bit ponderous but I guess it’s what your used to riding. I feel long low slack easy to adapt to and love it.

The Payoff can also be had for the same price if anyone is after a steel 29er HT

Been thinking about either the jackpot or the payoff

Anyone know why the reach and stack is apparently a state secret? Or if the TT figure they quote is effective or actual? They don't tell you a lot about the Geo!

cromolyolly I asked about sizing, they've only got 19s in Orange, they said suitable for 5ft 9ins to 6ft 2, I'm bang in the middle at 5ft 11 and it fits me fine, almost like it was made for me if that helps?

Cheers aged wind, That's helpful. I was worried about the Payoff being too short - the 17" is quoted as a 577mm TT, which accordingly it their web chat is the Effective. That puts it on par with a xs Marin I tried that had a sub 15" reach and I was banging my knees on the bars so I hadnt jumped on one. Most reviews say short but not too short. The reviews also call them a bit hooligan ish which sounds good.

Hope you enjoy yours. If I ever find out how short short is I might join you.

I looked at one ages ago & came to the too short reach conclusion plus it had a far too tall front end by looks of it

Maybe just maybe worth ordering a size larger then a mod by way of cutting seat tube down :/

That is a bloody good price op!

LLS has it's place of course but it's but for everyone. Me included to a degree to be honest.

Only thing I must critique op.... Where are the mud covered pics!?👍😁

I assume you just mean the little stub above the top tube, not lower, taking the top tube with it.

You jest but I seriously thought about it - the standover on the 19" isn't that tall if it is as quoted.
Or I could just take a flyer on the 17" and see how short it really is. There were a few people on here with them and they seemed to like them, despite them being anti LLS.
