What options are there for a nice steel CX bike - with discs?
Genisis, salsa, cotic or could do custom Shand, beautiful but custom UK made price tag.
i've got a new Genesis CDF, it's ace for commuting, and some light off-road bimbling, but it's probably a bit heavy for racing.
Budget?

This is mine, steel frame and fork. From Rock and Road in Southampton, I love this bike, now with hope discs
I've not set a specific budget yet. I like the look of the Salsa Warbird, but I'm not sure if they are actually available yet in the uk.
all look good. I'd like to have a go on a cdf.
want it for commuting / offroad racing and fun rides / vey fast and light touring.
Fixie Inc are no longer around (at least not selling bikes like they used to).

Though nothing to do with the Fixed/SS scene I have a real soft spot for Fixie Inc for some reason.
I have a Pure Blood and think it's lovely.
They still pop up now and again on ebay, though are usually stupidly expensive...
Edited, forgot to add, the Charge filter is another steel & disks.
My local bike shop has a frame and forks hanging on the wall.....
Salsa Vaya is a sexy looking bike
Last place I seen them was The Edinburgh Bike Co.
Didn't know they were still around, cool.
Currently liking the look of the Kona Rove , havent seen one in the flesh though.
