So the entries go live on Thursday. I'm going to try and get laddo a spot, I've been three times to watch but never ridden. He is now in full face and goggs but still resists any pads. Is he going to lose a knee cap if he bins it?

I don't know the course but presumably there is the potential to land on concrete etc?

No. It's in Woodlands typical DH Stuff.
Potential for nailing yourself on the bigger gap jump though!

Its all ridable and all the jumps have chicken runs. Mainly packed hard, few jumps and drops with the last one into the finish which is still ridable.
The advantage is you can go up and ride it all year round so a trip may help him.

There is potential, was a few in the local A&E last year, I'll hopefully be there on a bike this year rather than in a Marshall vest!!

email about that should just have landed with you Mike.

Wrightyson - would definitely advise a trip up before the race to practice if possible as it's always busy on the day. We sell out very quickly so if you want a spot be on the pc, logged in to the site and ready to go before 7.

Best race ever, I've missed marshalling the last couple of years and I won't be there this year either due to Mini Monkey (though we might come down for a watch, weather permitting).

re knee pads - I've had some pretty nasty high speed crashes there, so I'd definitely recommend wearing them. But I'm rapidly approaching 40 and take much longer to recover than I used to.
