So, my dropper has been bang on for three years now, minus one bleed, however, I had a bit of sag recently (no probs, due a bleed, but for now I'll do the hack as a short term fix), however, two rides on and at the weekend when riding around the block with my kids, it now sags completely down with my weight but wont stay down I'm stood up. I know it needs a bleed and probably a service, but is this caused by anything other than perhaps needing more pressure? I'm booked at the LBS for a bleed but thinking that's not gonna help here now.

Always worth doing a bleed first since it's so simple but it's almost certainly let some air past the IFP and needs a full stripdown.

There's a dude on ebay that does cheap Reverb services, I've diy'd it before but he was so cheap I just went with that the next time

Thanks Northwind, have you a link at all?
The only concern I have with that is actually removing it.

Make sure the pressure is up before bleeding it. (If pressure is very low, the poppet valve doesn't close properly and if you bleed it in that state it never will.)
