on the market for a new dropper post, stealth routing and 1x style lever, i was a set on a reverb with the new lever, then noticed a brand x which fits the bill and a fair Bit cheaper, any one tried one? also looked into the fox but by the time you get the lever its lot ot money. is it more reliable then the others?
What drop are you looking at?
I've had the RSP Plummet stealth 125mm running on my bike for 6 months now. Been totally reliable, and it was only £90!
150g heavier than the posh brands, but a third of the price.
I had no issues with a brand x, lever isn't as ergonomic as some but is easily replaceable and it's a little heavy. But..... It's a fair bit cheaper than the competition and comes with a 2yr warranty.
Oh and I never buy another reverb having gone through two.
sorry should have added 120mm drop
Same as ajantom - mine is still perfect. A TINY amount of side to side movement has developed in the shaft, so the saddle moves a little, but no up/down sag, just reliable.
It is a little sluggish, but a total bargain.
Steer clear of reverb. They're brilliant when they're working 100%, but then awful, over-complicated and expensive when they're not.
Ditched mine for a brand x and I'm fairly impressed so far, but it hasn't been through a winter yet. Let's face it, no product with more than two parts can really be properly assessed without going through a UK slop-fest.
Bikeyoke revive, smooth as silk and has a built in solution to the reverb problem.
Just had to warranty my Bikeyoke Revive due to a very rare problem. Was replaced in a week and has been faultless.
I've tried Reverbs and the newer Command Post. The Revive has been my favourite by far.
I was looking at a Revive but am giving the BrandX a go first because the Revive would have to last quite a bit longer to make up the cost difference.

Which was?

thanks for the replies, I'm going to go for the brand x, done some more research and looks good, and only £125...
