You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I'd mentioned on another that I was looking to buy a new gravel/adventure bike. Having long pondered over the "justification" for this (it's just my mindset) I actively started investigating likely contenders. A couple of good options were identified and now I find I can order them for delivery in January or February 2024!!
I'm actually quite surprised by the lead times involved as I'd been sort of assuming that the post-Covid surplus bubble would show an abundance of unsold bikes. Maybe there are, but not at my price point in the gravel market.
Anyway, off to look at some alternatives - even if it might now mean having to reconfigure them a bit after purchase.

Thats what I am seeing on ebikes. Even 2023 models are being discounted.
I have been doing some pondering on this last week or so also. Eventually pressed the button yesterday and PedalPower in West Calder should have it in, built up and ready either this weekend or early next week....
...and no scotroutes, I'm keeping the Topstone Lefty, even though I know it'd fit you 🙂

I was looking at Spesh Creo and they all seem to have sold out!
I ordered a new Mountain bike last month.... been quoted September before it will be available.
Bought a 2021 discounted model from our local dealership. Collected the next day. 😉
The hottest brands and models are still fairly hot but anything 'b-tier' or out of fashion is moving very slowly.
Plenty of big bets were made when ordering with factories in 2021 and those, usually uncancellable, orders are still arriving into already overstuffed warehouses.
Overall demand is still fairly healthy and this will balance itself out in time (especially if we finally see some decent weather) but in the short to medium term there will difficulties for people who over-ordered or ordered the wrong stuff back then.
You might as well get yourself down to Shand with lead times like that. You know you want to 🙂

I'm happy to buy b-tier, where are the bargains?
As above, looks like you can get great deals if you're flexible at the moment.
Might still be paying top dollar and waiting if you're fussy though.
Lucky those cheap Ragley Trigs at CRC recently were exactly what I was after anyway.
🙂
Is secondhand an option for you OP?
Ordered a 2023 bike in January and got it last week. Was told their new orders are due to arrive the end of the year.

Possibly. I have qualms about buying from someone I don't know and might "neglect to mention" issues with the frame and forks, but there's something local that might do the trick.
Possibly.
I have a Mason Bokeh frame if you want it. Great frame if you have small feet!
LOL. It wasn't any kind of stealth wanted ad. Just expressing some surprise. Problem is, when you get to my age a 9 month delay in getting the bike could seriously cut the length of time I get to enjoy it. What's more, it's sunny now dammit!

Roots cycles has some Marin DSX gravel hybrids and some El Roy's going for a really good price.

Experts are in stock in some larger sizes…
EDIT - mediums were out of stock yesterday but they have one now…
