Hi all
I've started mountain biking again, after many years. The racing scene has changed a lot from the early 90's. I have no clue at all how to get started with racing again. I am wanting to do XC, but for the life of me, I dont know where to look.
I live in Leeds, so if you have any advice for local, that would also be greatly appreciated!

MTB XC "season" has finished, but prob be some winter MTB events somewhere.
If there is any local cyclecross events near you might be worth checking out as local events normally let MTB bikes race.

Just noticed that the DW 3 counties challenge in whatyadoinsucka's list up there has been cancelled this year. Shame - good event.
check out your local bike clubs, see if they have an XC scene going on.
As above your timing is off, it's moving into CX season now, although some will offer an MTB support race
