Living in south Linolnshire there's not much riding around. The nearest current centres are all over 1hr away.

There are a number of local forestry commission woods and I wondered if anyone knew how to approach them with the idea of creating official trails within one/ some of these woods?

Any help or advice with this would be great

Good quality bacon and egg buns. The rest is largely irrelevant. 😉

He means bacon and egg cobs just in case that last post didn't make sense. 😉

Sorry, I did indeed mean baps.

With baps, everything is OK!

if you want jumps and berms then you probably need permission. if you want single track, just get out there with a rake, saw and Secateurs and make your own. then keep them a secret 😈

For a slightly more serious answer ask Tim (Cheeky) over at SingletrAction

http://www.singletraction.co.uk/

In the meantime i'll do me best.

Two words, patience and determination.

I'd not bother trying to create official trails under FC sanctions or whatever. Just have a quiet word with the ranger about doing a bit of clearing. It doesn't have to be a 'trail centre' for you to ride it.
