Hi guys I'm considering a 27.5 steel frame as I have most of the bits to build one. I've had a Sherpa in the past and liked it so just wondering what people's opinions are on the slack line? It won't be the UK built one but the chromo as I'm too impatient to wait. Thanks

Not sure "impatient" is a good fit with Stanton. Lovely bikes but their quoted lead times are incredibly optimistic.

I have a Slackline, but not sure my opinion would count for much as it is from the days when the Slackline was the 26" wheel model. Is a great bike though.

I’ve had a Slackline, before my current Switchback. I think the Slackline rode beautifully, was a great frame and nice and light (853). Not sure what tubes each of the newer version have, but either way will build up to be a great looking and handling bike.

And in terms of lead time, I’ve ordered another steel frame (not Stanton) and the date has slipped a few times. With updates to recent C19 and Brexit issues, I’m expecting even more time to be added...

I've had my Next Gen one since launch so heading to 4 and half years now-It's been fun it's a good solid bike-I think ideally I would of liked it to be a bit longer, but the newer versions have solved that .

I had a slackline delivered yesterday. Ordered end of October. Not built it up yet so can’t comment on the ride, it’s a bloody lovely thing , the paint is a work of art. Mines a Taiwan frame BTW.

Take them with a pinch of salt. I ordered my UK made Sherpa in mid August (frame and forks) with a 8-10 week lead time and I’m now at week 20 and it’s not even made the paint shop as far as I am aware.

I waited around 4.5 months for my UK made Switch9er which wasn't ideal. That being said when it did arrive it turned out to be a very very worthwhile wait. Can't see there ever being a hardtail to replace this one. It's superb.
