You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Afternoon all,
I’ve recently bought a second hand switch9er with a Stanton headset and long story short I don’t have the crown, does anyone have a Stanton headset they could send a picture of the crown race for me? I’m hoping to use a different CR I think it’s a split one so was thinking about using a hope?
I’ve tried to get a one from Stanton but I’m struggling (impatient) with getting a response and I’m desperate to ride for my daily exercise.
Cheers
Tom
Any good for you?

You sir are a star!
You don’t happen to know what size bottom cup the switch9er takes?
from the website- HTH
Frame Weight – 2.65kg

3. Super-short chainstays (428 mm) made from Reynolds 520 tubing.
4. Custom CNC’d Swapout dropouts (12 x 148, 12 x 142, 10 x 135 or horizontal). Comes supplied with 12 x 148 as standard unless you specify different dropouts with your order.
5. Birmingham manufactured Reynolds DZB (Dual zone butting) 631 air hardened front triangle with custom profiled seat tube. Full internal routing takes full-length gear outer for consistent, weather-proof shifting.
6. 30.9 stealth routing dropper-compatible seat tube (34.9 clamp).
The split in the crown race isn't important - it's just to make it easier to fit.
You need to make sure the angle & depth of the crown race matches the contacting chamfer on the lower bearing. If you are trying to see if you can reuse a crow race you already have, gently pull the bottom bearing out of its cup (it's only a push fit) and sit it on the crown race to see if it is a good fit..
No I need to buy one but I’m struggling to get my hands on a Stanton one, thanks for the help.
I believe it takes an EC44 / 40 lower cup (ZS44 on the top), assuming a tapered fork.
No worries. As far as I'm aware all Stantons have a 44mm headtube. Assuming your fork has a tapered steerer, it'll most likely need an external 44/40 cup

Cheers gents all input greatly appreciated
