Hi guys,
Just received my YT Jeffsy and want to convert the wheels to tubeless.
They're DT Swiss M1900, does anybody know whether I can use Stans valves in these rims?
The DT valves look like they have a square bung, does this mate up with the rim?
Any help would be great!
Thanks,
Pete
The DT swiss valves I bought had a curve on the bottom of the bung that mated perfectly with the curve on the xm401 rims I bought.
Sorry I got the valves confused 😳
People buy proper valves? 😉
All of my wheels are tubeless with valves cut out from old inner tubes.
One of the wheels is DT Swiss rimmed though, and it's been fine with said 'ghetto' valves, so should be fine with anything really!
I couldn't get the DT Swiss valves to seal reliably in my DT Swiss EX471 rims 🙁 They seem to be quite sensitive to how tightly the retaining ring is done up. Being ham-fisted, I probably overtightened them (then gave them an extra turn, just to be sure).
The Stan's ones worked (and are still working) fine.
Stans valves are working perfectly on my DT XM481s.
Echo the above post, working ok in my XM481s.
Stans on EX471 working fine here.
I use superstar, of all the tubless valves I've used I've found these fit most rims
Did you check your box was empty. I got my Jeffsy about a month ago and the valves for covering the wheels (DT 1250's) where in the box.
apparently they dont come with the M1900... bit odd but hey ho!
thanks guys, will use my old stans stuff and save money!
Hey guys. See a few of you are rocking the XM481s. How are you finding them. I'm abut to pull the trigger on a pair. What hubs you running?
Specialized valves in my DT rims, all good
