May I ask you a question?

Did you find it particularly difficult fitting tyres to them?

Especially interested in Schwalbe Supergravity carcass.

No, but then I only have fitted specialized (butcher/slaughter) or Maxxis (DHR/DHF) - no issues.

Thanks, the rims are new to me, but I think I have got a badly undersized tyre.

Checked with one other tyre which seemed normal.

Yes, I have to muscle my Magic Mary Soft Super Gravity tyre on! The front which is a exo casing MM is much easier.

If you want real pain, I find the Rock Razor in SG a pain in the bum to get on too!

Thanks Keith, this wasn't just tight, once I got one bead got over the rim edge it was jammed tight in the rim bed - with no chance of seating it to one side or even inserting the valve.

Odd as Schwalbe are usually fairly reliable IME.

Continentals were a massive pain to get on my 26 inch flow ex rims. Im not sure I could have got them back on with cold hands beside the trail if I ever had cause to remove them. Maxxis and Specialised were tight but not like the Contis. The Arch Mk 3 that replaced the front flow is no where near as tight.

Any more thoughts on the Flow EX3 and tyre fitting?

They do seem a bit bigger diameter than your average 29in rim to me.

Got a Butcher blk dmnd on the way and that better be easier to fit than the Schwalbe.
