ok .... some advice needed if possible.

I'm currently running a pair of Stans Crest rims on Hope Pro SPXC-6 hubs but the problem is the rider weight limit on these is 85kg.
I'm a shade under that but only just ... with gear and a full bladder (in the camel back) I'm probably over.
Appart from the obvious advice ... like ... lose some weight you FB!

would getting crest on Hope pro2's be better, ie 32 spokes instead of the 24 on the SPXC-6's.

Also looking at a pair of Pro2s with DT Swiss XR400 rims ... any good?

my ridings mostly xc & trail centre .. afan, cwmcarn etc no big jumps.

thanks

steve

How long have you been riding on them? Any actual problems?

I reckon you'll be fine. It's probably only to deter huge people that smash one then claim the rims aren't fit for purpose.
EDIT: Not reading OP properly fail. Even so, you'll be fine.

Its not the Crests' that have the weight limit, but the wheel. When they break just buy the Pro2 SP's.

thanks so far

could be just paranoid ... when I bought them they were as new, perfectly true ... came back from cwmcarn and the rear has a slight wobble out of true but I didn't do anything silly or remember hitting anything particularly hard ... just made me think that I'm putting it under too much pressure?
