Went to tubeless yesterday for the first time.

Stans flow rims, stans tape, valve and sealant with conti rubber queen 2.2 (non ust or black chilli)

Today one's gone overnight from 35 psi to virtually none and the other from 35 psi to 20...

Thought I had it cracked, seems straight forward enough measured out the cup and a half of sealant, got them blown up, followed instructions on the website for sealing them on each side and did this maybe 10 times.

I may have put a bit more sealant in the one that's held more air, the other one dont seem like it's got much sealant left in it really... the sidewalls are slowly bubbling air if I hold the wheel under water.

I dont want to have to rip the tyre off again and add more sealant really, is it worth getting the injector and just adding more in each? Think that's all it is?

Non-UST RQs are the worst sealing tyres I've used tubeless- mine did seal up eventually but it took weeks. Can't grumble really, they do a UST version after all.

You don't have to rip the tyres off to add sealant, take the valve core out and inject through the valve. They will seal eventually ,but mine took a week.

Thanks, they came on my new Lapierre Spicy so trying to make do with what I have.

Will order one of the stans injectors then... do I need anything special for removing the valve core?

Cheers!

Worth getting one of these http://www.bikegoo.co.uk/product.php/386/weldtite_presta_valve_replacement_core_cap_kit ,the black thingie drops over the top of the valve core to unscrew it ot screw it in,the valve cores are also worth having,as they can get clogged up with sealant.

UST ones work a treat for me, 2.4's and 2.2's - even swopped rims a couple of times....

Being UST I should hope they do lol! Mine are non-ust.

Thanks for that, just ordered that and the sealant syringe.

No probs,I found them when I needed a spare valve core, and was annoyed by CRC asking £1.99 for one Stans valve core.

Can't speak for rubber queens but when I get a tyre sealed I head out on the bike for 5 mins or so - seems to help the non ust tyres seal for me.

I'd give up now if I were you - I've never been able to get non UST Continentals to seal!

I dont mind a tyre losing 10 psi over a day or two as long as im not losing anything noticible on a ride...
