Got a wedding evening doo Saturday eve so looking on getting a few hours in on way down. Somehow ive never ridden these trails and really fancy them. Which way round is best, probs starting from Grasmere. Are the descents mostly rideable, i dont mind hiking to get places. Doable in 3 hours?

Thanks

Green up edge is a ball ache.
Stake only worthwhile Langstrath to Langdale. Have you ridden Sticks pass on Helvellyn Ridge (W to E)

Don't do it! Especially if you've only 3hrs and want to enjoy your weekend.
Have a search on here, as Greenup has been mentioned plenty of times before. I know I'll never do it again.

Ah ok, glad I posted now! Will avoid for sure, maybe take in stake pass with a ride back over esk hause one day when I've got longer to play with.
Yeah pretty much done all hellvellyn descents multiple times, brilliant playground it is, but always searching for more! Anyone ridden anything good off old man of coniston or Fairfield or just any other hike a bike suggestions? I know they are all cheeky but to be honest so long as your courteous I've never really had any problem.
