Thinkin of a trip to Stainburn (WBT) at weekend.About 10 of us going. Anyone recommend it? Is it worth a trip from Halifax? Otherwise Cannock probably!
Cheers

It's worth it if you like pretty hard trails and a day of messing around on bikes. If you want to go for an xc ride i.e. feel like you've ridden far etc then it's probably not the place to go.

Being a dig day wont affect your riding, the trails won't be closed. Work will more than likely be on the Descent Line, but even that won't be closed.

Definitely worth a trip from Halifax. But like Steve says don't come if you just want to do a "normal" XC trail centre type route. Be prepared for some tech rocky riding, downhill and uphill. Also be prepared not to do sections first time and to have to go back and try again. You'll either love or hate the WBT.

Norwood on the other side of the road has some nice "natural" trails, could possibly be muddy at the moment. HTH

And if you do come, say hello to the trailbuilders on your way past 😀

Stainburn Dig Days generally don't interfere with your riding pleasure. Stainburn is a bit marmite thought, you'll either love it or hate it. If you love playing around on lots of little testing technical rocks and woodwork, you'll get it. If you want a long XC ride out, then forget it.
EDIT: snap with Simon
