The SSEC is on this weekend at Evanton in the Highlands.
The lads have knocked up a killer course with far too much climbing for the effete hipsters who ride SS, and then, not content with knackering them with a climb to 200m, are set to terrify/injure/excite them with the rooty descents through the forest, replete with jaggy stumps, impaling branches, and deep hidden ruts.
I went for a look today but being easily diverted carried on from the top of the course another 250m up to the Fyrish monument on the next hill (450m). Seeing as it's a local landmark, it would be rude not to. It's a wee bit steep though and just about killed me on the 1x1 SS. 🙂
