Seems "liberal" means two things in Srams world. One as per shown the manual, ie a liberal amount. However the meaning must not have translated to the factory as I just stripped down my pike air shaft assembly as it kept sucking down even after I tried all the tricks to fix it. My god, there must have been half a container of Sram butter in there!! No wonder the transfer port was blocked!! Maybe they should follow their own guidelines a the suck down issue wouldn't be so prevalent.

Unlike their BB bearings which I had to grease prior to fitting as they were pretty dry from the factory.

Most bearings have **** all grease in in them
