hi whats the best place to buy them caps you put on the end of your gear cable. regards dave.

Any bike shop with a workshop will have them.

what size do i need? or are they all standard?

Probably 4mm if they're plastic,basic ones are cheap, probably 20p-ish, but i'd recommend Shimano SP40 type for off-road use as they're sealed, but expensive at 85p each.
