So I've just been informed that my shock needs to go back to Sram for a warranty. Anyone know what the timescale is at the moment?
Apparently it has a deep scratch on the air shaft or something and this isn't a part that Sram sell to third parties - am I likely to find Sram replace it or just repair it? Personally I'd like a replacement as I believe it is a slightly older model - super deluxe RCT3 which isn't available anymore and I've never been particularly happy with so it'd be nice to have the possibility of getting a shock with more tuning options.
Sramtech are currently estimating 5 working day turnaround. This assumes parts required are in stock of course.
Wow OK that is a lot quicker than I was expecting, I'd been told it could be weeks before they even look at it! Any idea what the timescale is for parts from the US?
I had to wait 6 weeks for replacement rear mech a while back
Part of the reason I don't like buying SRAM stuff anymore!
Why would parts come from the US?
Isn't that where the Sram suspension parts are manufactured or at least held in stock?
