As the title says really. Want one of these clever new rear mechs but dont want to have to replace everything else to go 10 by 1 just yet. Have x9 shifters.

Type 2 mechs are 10speed only, I'm afraid....

Has anyone actually tried it? I would be interested to know too.

Not tried a Type2 mech,but tried to run a standard X9 10spd rear mech with some X9 9spd shifters and it didn't work.
