Does anybody know if this will work or not a GX/XO1 11spd Grip shift with a Shimano XT rear mech?

After a crash recently the XT leaver bent my thumb back, second time in a under a year and has damaged the ligaments, I already have a 12spd Eagle set up on one bike with a grip shift which i really like but it gets a bit pricey doping the same on 3 more bikes so changing just the shifter would be my simplest/cheapest option.

The rear mech is still the same pull ratio. And the Gripshift is still the SRAM pull ratio, so I'd be 95% confident in saying a big hairy no. 🙁

Try looking here. I know its road but it might help but then Shimano road and mtb are not even compatible with each other without a widget in the cable.

Well i've decided to give it a try anyway as a GX grip shifter is cheap enough, i'll chuck it on the winter bike and if it works I'll get XO1 for the other 2.

I know an XX1 shifter works fine with an XTR rear mech, so as long as the pull on the grip shift matches the XX1 shifter, which I'd imagine it does, you should be fine - all 11 speed..

There was a thread on here somewhere which had the pull ratios on it. it inferred it would work, but someone did run it fine.
I'm scoping gripshift for my 11 speed...

Yeah it will work ok. The pull ratios are slightly out, but set it up in 6th and you're only a touch out at the ends of the cassette - not enough to notice.
