Can anyone confirm that a Shimano XT M785 double chainset would work fine with a SRAM 10 speed chain and X9 double front mech?
I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work perfectly unless the ring spacing is different on the Shimano vs. Sram double chainset but even then it should be able to be set up I'd have thought.
Your advice is eagerly awaited.

don't know if it's any help but I'm using a Shimano triple ring front mech with a 2x10 SRAM X9 shifter at the moment and it's working fine.
That is on an X9 chainset though.
