I've always been a Shimano crankset person but have a frame here with an X7/S1400 chainset fitted which I want to remove.
It has an inner 8mm hex and an outer larger hex - do you use a square taper type crank puller or something? Looks like a trip to the bike shop in order. Advice much appreciated thanks
The larger bit simply captures the 8mm bolt so undo that (the 8mm) and the crank will come off.
So you need to remove the 12mm hex first or I undo the 8mm one and the other one comes with it?
Sorted now thanks. I didn't realise it was self extracting.
This is probably bad form, but if you want to sell the x7 cranks, I would be interested.
Cheers.
Lol what would you pay for them? They're brand new and never used - removed from a new bike frame.
