My Apex mech on the gravel bike seem to be a bit twisted and wonky, so I'm considering a replacement, which will have to be SRAM to go with brakes/shifters... is it worth upgrading to Rival? The Apex stuff seems pretty low end. (11 speed 1x setup)

I've got Rival on my CX/gravel bike. It mostly does it's job so can't complain.

It did get bent though and need replacing. A stick got caught in the chain and put an imperceptible bend in the linkage that stopped it from going into the top few gears.

Yeah, wondering if they're noticeably different, or if it's a slx/xt scenario where they're much the same. Rival looks a bit fancier in pics.

Odd because in think it's got a sort of mid 90's XT look with the wierd 2-tone

Compared to Red, and the Apex1/Rival1 stuff it just looks old. Not that it really matters, it just looks like Sram have left it be for a few generations.

Have both Apex1 and Rival1 on two different bikes. Rival1 is definitely better put together and feels good and precise in use. If you can afford the extra £30/40 go for Rival1.
