The bite point on my SRAM Rival's been moving out a bit for a while, then today it started not releasing completely, it's not locking the back wheel but it's enough to slow the bike down.
Any idea?
I've tried letting a bit of fluid out of the caliper and that didn't work. Tried taking the bleed screw off the lever and the fluid appears to go up when the levers squeezed which to me implies the master cylinder seals have gone?
No idea what's causing your issue without seeing it myself, but it's normal for the fluid in the reservoir to rise when you start pulling the lever. There has to be clearance before the primary seal passes the transfer port from the reservoir to the cylinder, so this will also end up creating pressure in the reservoir before the seal passes the port and starts pressurising the system. I'd suggest starting by resetting your caliper pistons, and checking how worn your pads are (not exactly sure why, but my Hope X2's do this once the pads are totalled).
Hmmmm, I'll try new pads and a bleed then and see if that cures it, discovered when I tried it that they need yet another type of bleed kit!
The pistons in caliper needs cleaning.
This link is to and old post but still relevant and gives a clear indication how to go about doing it.

This should resolve the issues at hand
